Society for Integrative Oncology Gives High Marks to Mind-Body Therapies During Breast Cancer Treatment

A systematic review of integrative treatment in breast cancer by an interdisciplinary team including researchers at the Mailman School of Public Health and the Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center, supports the use of meditation, yoga, and other mind-body therapies to address common mental health concerns and improve quality of life in breast cancer patients.

The study, authored by HICCC member Dr. Heather Greenlee and others, appears in the latest edition of CA: A Cancer Journal for Clinicians, a journal of the American Cancer Society.
