Everick Ayala-Bustamante, MD

Assistant Professor of Radiology, Columbia University Medical Center

Dr. Everick Ayala-Bustamante is an Assistant Professor of Radiology at Columbia University Medical Center and an Attending Physician at New York Presbyterian Hospital. He has extensive expertise in all aspects of Breast Imaging including screening and diagnostic mammography, tomosynthesis (3-D mammography), ultrasound, breast MRI as well as advanced biopsy techniques in all modalities. His background includes radiology practice in community and academic hospitals, private clinics, and teleradiology environments in the US, Canada and Latin America.

Prior to his appointment at Columbia University Medical Center, Dr. Ayala-Bustamante was a Breast Radiologist at Maimonides Breast Imaging Center in Brooklyn, NY. He earned his MD degree at Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia in Lima, Peru, completed his Residency in Diagnostic Radiology at McGill University in Canada, and Breast Imaging Fellowship at Columbia University. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology, a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and member of the Radiological Society of North America, the American College of Radiology, Society of Breast Imaging, and the American Roentgen Ray Society.
