Gaining Velocity in Cancer Research
Gearing up for its second year, Columbia’s Ride to End Cancer fundraiser—Velocity—will be held Sunday, October 7, 2018. The Velocity fundraiser supports important, cutting-edge research happening at Columbia’s Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center (HICCC).
In its inaugural year, Velocity raised a total of $1.4 million. The funding is helping HICCC to accelerate personalized cancer care by creating integrative services that improve the patient experience, establishing infrastructure to support precision oncology, and improving treatment options for cancer patients at Columbia.
Participants in Velocity will ride up to 62.5 miles with the mission—and goal—to end cancer. Visit the Velocity website to learn more, to ride or donate!
