Dr. Riccardo Dalla-Favera to Receive the Léopold Griffuel Award

Dr. Riccardo Dalla-Favera, Percy and Joanne Uris Professor of Clinical Medicine and Director of the Institute for Cancer Genetics at Columbia University, will be presented with the Léopold Griffuel Award in Basic Research at an awards symposium in Paris on May 30, 2017. The prestigious award is given by the ARC Foundation for Cancer Research to scientists and physicians who have made major contributions in the understanding, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of cancers.

Dr. Dalla-Favera is being honored for his ground-breaking discoveries on the molecular genetics of cancer and the pathogenesis of leukemias and human lymphomas.
