Dr. Kathy Crew Featured in ABC's Breast Cancer Special
Dr. Kathy Crew, a member of Columbia University's Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center (HICCC), is featured in WABC-TV's special, "Breast Cancer: Surprising Discoveries," which follows the journey of young women dealing with fertility issues triggered by the diagnosis of breast cancer with a specific focus on genetic mutations and the ability to preserve their options. Dr. Crew, associate professor of medicine and epidemiology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC)/New York-Presbyterian Hospital is a feaured expert in the special, along with fellow NYP oncologist, Tessa Cigler, MD, MPH, as well as others from Weill Cornell Medicine, Montefiore Health System, Albert Einstein Cancer Center, Atlantic Health System at Overlook Medical Center, Mount Sinai Health System, Reproductive Medicine Associates of New York and Murray Hill Radiology. The special, which can be viewed online at WABC7, aired on Oct. 21 and will re-run on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 7:30 p.m. Dr. Crew directs the Clinical Breast Cancer Prevention Program at CUIMC and cares for patients with breast cancer and women at high-risk for breast cancer.
